What do you guys use to track time spent on a project?
I'd a way to easily record how much time I've spent coding various things?
Ideas?

Hey Paul,

For windows based stuff I like using PTM (http://ptm.sourceforge.net/) - Its lightweight, unintrusive and does exactly what I need.

For Mac, I have heard this is really good (http://www.marketcircle.com/billings/), but maybe a bit overkill if its just simple time tracking that is required, plus its not free. Another (free) solution would be timeEdition (http://www.timeedition.com/en/index.html) although I have never used it, it looks similiar to the PTM windows solution.

Here are a few more possibles..

I use Billings. Swear by it. It does time tacking in a non intrusive way, creating invoices and tracking payments.

It's really painless.

I tend to use Freshbooks which includes time tracking and client invoicing. There's also a dashboard widget for it so you can log against specific projects and tasks quite easily.

I use On The Job, I like it http://stuntsoftware.com/onthejob/
haven't looked at the others mentioned here, they seem to be good as well
